Spaces Of Disappearance is the project of Barcelona via Chicago singer, songwriter, and producer Elaine Davis. Electronic music night at The Delancey! First on stage was Vigil. Wary of the “karaoke problem” that many electronic musicians face, he decided to ditch the laptop in favor of a vintage MPC, which he plays like a hand drum. Earlier today I wrote about Grimes and her stunning live performances, but she’s not the only one who masters the fine art of electronic solo live performances: Elaine Davis from Chicago, who goes as Spaces of Disappearance on stage, combines cool electronics with a powerful, soulful voice.
